Note: Unfortunately Mike Lima never did complete the journey to Wellington. The registration
is now on my C172SP and hopefully I will attempt the journey again and make it all the way!

Golf-Juliet Hotel Mike Lima, or Mike Lima for short, my trusty PA28-161 Warrior. She is a hybrid, using the Pilot's Software Warrior .air file (modified), Carenado's visual model, repainted with my registration (and me in the driving seat!), plus a custom panel using gauges from the Pilot's package. She flies like an absolute dream.

The Journey
Over the next few months I will be flying my Warrior from Sumburgh, the most Northerly islands in the UK, all the way to Wellington, to spend the southern summer exploring New Zealand.

For most of the trip I will be roughly using the London-Sydney air race route, flying in real time using FS_Meteo. Each major leg will be flown on Saturdays or Sundays, with shorter hops as evening or night flights.

Hopefully I will try and host some multiplayer sessions for some of the shorter hops. I will post screen shots and a detailed report of each leg, and make available FS Navigator flight plans. As I am trying to do this as realistically as possible, I will not be able to fly if the weather is unsuitable.

The journey commenced on the 25 August 2001, and I was hoping to be in Wellington for Christmas, but unfortunately never made it! My revised arrival date is now the end of February. Please look back every now and then for updates, and multiplayer session details.
