Introduction
Visual Flight, the designers of the excellent UK mesh scenery, together with getmapping.com
are set to produce photographic textures for England and Wales, and ultimately the whole of the
UK. I am lucky enough to be beta testing the package, and can honestly say this will be the best
add-on ever for MSFS 2002.
Getmapping plc have invested millions for the Millennium MapTM project,
with the whole of the UK being photographed from 5000 feet using hi-resolution cameras. Together
with John Farrie of Visual Flight they are preparing FS2002 compatible textures, and the results are dramatic,
to say the least. VFR flying using the sim will now be possible, and sometimes you have to pinch
yourself with the realism this scenery offers. No more need for Autogen!
I have put together some screen shots of the test area in South Wales, around Cardiff, Neath and the Vale of Neath, and Swansea. For further information
and more pictures head over to the Visual Flight FAQ page.
